Abdurrahman ÖZBEYAZ received his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from University of Erciyes in 2005 and the M.S. degree in 2010 from Sütçü İmam University, Kahramanmaraş in the field of Electrical-Electronics Engineering. The title of his master’s thesis is "LS-SVM Hyper Parameter Selection Based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) in EMG and EEG Signals Classification" supervised by Prof. Dr. Mahmut Kemal KIYMIK. And he received the PhD degree in 2015 from Çukurova University, Adana in the field of Electrical-Electronics Engineering. The title of his PhD dissertation is "Analysis and Classification of Evoked Potentials of Familiar and Unfamiliar Face Stimuli" supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sami ARICA.

He worked in varies companies of private sector as Software Developer before 2007. He worked as a computer engineer in the 15. Region of State Hydraulic Works between November 2007 and November 2008. He also worked as a lecturer in the Department of Computer Programming at Adıyaman University between November 2008 and March 2012. He worked as the computer engineer in the Information Technology Department and Distance Education Center of Adıyaman University between March 2012 and January 2016. He worked as Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering of Adıyaman University between January 2016 and October 2022 and he has still been working in the same department as Associate Professor Dr. since October 2022.

Within the scope of ERASMUS teaching mobility, he participated in academic studies at the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Debrecen in Hungary in 2010 and at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto in 2016. He has been supported by the project within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2219 program as a research fellow. And he has been visiting research fellow in the department of Computer Vision Signal and Speech Processing (CVSSP) in Surrey University/United Kingdom (UK-England) since July 2021.

He has been involved in research on Optimization Algorithms, Digital Image Processing, Biomedical Signal Processing, Computational Intelligence and Deep Learning.
